How do I know which flooring is right for my space?
Start with the room’s demands (water exposure, traffic, pets, kids, heavy furniture), then consider the feel and look you want. We’ll help you compare durability, maintenance, comfort, acoustics, and budget so you can choose confidently.
Do you handle removal of my old flooring?
Yes—tear-out and disposal can be included in the scope. We’ll also inspect what’s underneath so prep needs are clear before installation.
What’s included in “subfloor prep”?
Prep can include checking for soft spots, squeaks, moisture concerns, and flatness. Depending on your project, that might mean repairs, leveling, underlayment, or additional moisture protection measures.
How long does a typical install take?
Timeline depends on square footage, material type, tear‑out, prep, and trim work. During the estimate we’ll give you a realistic schedule and explain what could affect it (like leveling time or acclimation requirements).
Do I need to move furniture?
Many jobs go faster when rooms are cleared. If you need help moving heavy items, mention it when requesting the estimate so we can plan accordingly.
Can you install flooring I already purchased?
Often yes. We’ll confirm the product is appropriate for the space and that site conditions meet the manufacturer requirements. If something doesn’t look right (subfloor, moisture, transitions), we’ll explain options before proceeding.
How do I care for my new floor?
Use floor-safe cleaners, avoid soaking with water, and protect high-traffic areas with mats or rugs. Felt pads under furniture help prevent scratches. We’ll share material-specific tips after installation.
Do you offer a warranty?
Warranty terms depend on the specific project and materials. We can discuss workmanship expectations during your estimate and outline any coverage clearly in writing.
